Your VGDP year
Your fist year in practice is crucial for setting the tone of your future career and we feel that the wide range of patients that out practice provides together with a well trained friendly team around you gives the ideal VGDP year. We will give you the time space and support necessary to make this a great year for you. We have over 16,000 patients in our data base and our practice serves an area with a wide socioeconomic range. We have old and young, healthy and unhealthy and often members of families from several generations.
We aim to provide you with the range of experiences and support that you will need to equip you for your blossoming career within dentistry.
You will be working in a modern new surgery with a computer link to the other surgeries, reception and to the Dental Practice Board. You will have an intra oral x ray machine in your surgery an D.P.T. a few paces away and the trainers surgery is about 9 metres away.
You will be assisted by a trained D.S.A. who is also a radiographer, share two full time receptionists and share the Hygienist (Kendra) who first came to work for us here as a junior D.S.A. 20+ years ago having trained hard has been our hygienist now for 15 years and we have a therapist here one day a week.
